Simply me

This is a place for me to collect my thoughts, big as small ones. About my interests - singing and music, books and listening to the radio, family and friends, nature, food and health, corresponding and other activities.
Maybe more interesting to few, and less interesting to many, who knows?

It's been a long and cold winter

I really long for spring now. And for summer.

Rowlf the Dog

You Are Rowlf the Dog

Mellow and serious, you enjoy time alone cultivating your talents.
You're a cool dog, and you always present a relaxed vibe.
A talented pianist, you can play almost anything - especially songs by Beethoven.

Anyone in need of a health educator?

Right now I'm searching for new assigners. It's not the easiest thing.

First I have to know what I can offer them, for example health education, testing of physical condition, giving massage, my knowledge in the field of health and nutrition which is my area of expertise. These are some examples of what I have to offer. Now the questions are:

1. Who could use my services?
2. Where do I find them?
3. What can I do to convince them that they need a health educator?

This is what I think about these days. Fact is that I intend to write a letter to send out to a bunch of companys in the neighbourhood to expose me and my company. I think that the hardest part of it all is how to frame the letter, how to get the wording right. Anyone, help!!

If I do it well, I hope that I'll have someone that want to hire me!

Eurovision song contest: The Swedish preselection

The Swedish preselection, Melodifestivalen, is a real festival according to the Swedes. One can tell, because we have 32 contestants, selected from a total of over 3000 songs (!) and they compete in 4 semifinals, plus a "second chance" competition. The last four Saturdays we've seen and heard the 32 songs, from hardrock to Beatles to country to opera, and now on Saturday it's the big final with 10 of these songs. One can watch and listen to all 32 songs on http://www.melodifestivalen.se/

Oh yes, it's the people who vote. And the ten songs under "Final" are the ones we've voted most on. On Saturday it's time to vote once more, after that we'll know who'll be the one heading for Athens! You can't just vote with your heart; you also have to consider what the other European nations might think of it (if you want to win, that is). The ones with Swedish texts will be sung in English, one possibly in French, if they go to Athens, of course. So, which one do you think is best? And do you think it'll do well in Athens too? Do you prefer poodles, Zeb McCahan or Beatles?

A snowy scene

Snow has been falling down constantly since Wednesday. The variations I've seen are how big the snowflakes have been, and the speed of which they have been falling. Today is the first of six days when no snow is falling. Instead the sky is blue, the sun is shining, it's a cool and fresh air - indeed it's cold. I saw that the thermometer maximum was at -19.9 degrees Celsius during last night! Now, in the sun, it's about -5 degrees, and in the shadow, around -10. This is perfect winter weather! The only problem is, now it's March, and March is the first month of spring. There's no sign of spring whereever I look... All I see is snow and snow and snow and snow...

Here are some pics from my morning walk today.
