Getting used to it, sort of

I've had my second weekend here now and I think that I am getting used to being in NYC. Last Saturday I had my hair cut, and it's very pretty I think. Went to a hip salon, Arrojo it's called, the owner of it is the one who does the haircuts on the persons in "What Not To Wear". I'll upload a photo later, I thought I could do that here, but there's no USB plughole in the computer :(

Later today I'll go to Macy's, and Barnes & Nobles on 66th Street, my favourite place so far. Soooo many books!! And you can bring them to the cafe and read before you decide if you want to buy it or not. Three storeys, just full of books, the cellar loaded with music and film, and then a cafeteria on top of it all. How can you not love it?

Well, got to go now. Can't sit here all day, I've got a whole town waiting for me! ;)

In New York!

Arrived on March 11, the trip was fine and I arrived to a warm and sunny New York. I've never been here before so the first week was full of new impressions. So much people! Almost as much in the whole of Sweden, which has 9 millions. 8 millions in NYC.

Well, so far I've been a good tourist, walking the streets of NYC, checking things out, shops, people, the subway... I haven't been to a McDonalds yet, neither a Starbucks but I did go skiing in Catskill Mountains in Windham - so wonderful! Friends of my sister's brought us there, and I liked it a lot. On today's schedule is the National Museum of American History - and yes, I did see "Night on the museum" :) Hopefully I'll have no dinosaur running after me!

I'll try to post here regularly, and also to find a way to post photos here. Don't know yet if the computers are compatible for my camera, I hope so. Well, keep your eyes open and I'll let you know more!!
